This form should be used by Title Companies requesting property transfer and should be submitted a minimum of two (2) business days prior to the closing date. Inaccurate or incomplete information will delay processing time.

*Transfer requests which are not ordered on time will be transacted as of the date of order and final charges will NOT be prorated.

NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER: Water and sanitation utility charges remain with the real property unlike electrical and phones services which are usually private profit corporations. Water and sewer districts are local government special districts and operate under CRS TITLE 32 for special Quasi-municipal governments. (subparagraph j.-"Until paid, all such fees, rates, tolls, penalties, or charges shall constitute a perpetual lien on and against the property served, and any such lien may be foreclosed in the same manner as provided by the laws of this state for the foreclosure of mechanics liens.")

IF THE SELLER DOES NOT PAY THE WATER AND SEWER BILL the charges will stay with the property. Charges will not be transferred to the tenant at a different address. Late charges and disconnection notices will apply until the account is brought current. $35 Transfer Charge
